Bonnie O. Black

Bonnie O. Black, 74, of Du Quoin, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2002 at 6:53 a.m. at Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Mrs. Black was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
She was born July 20, 1928 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond and Verna (Bane) Hopkins.  She married Thomas V. Black on april 22, 1947 at Jasper, Ind. and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1992.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas Black of Du Quoin, John Black of Adena, Ohio and James Black of Steeleville; two daughters, Jenny Martin of Du Quoin and Linda Meyer of Du Quoin; two brothers, Mike Hopkins of Dowell and Ron Hopkins of Kingston, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.
Funeral services were Sunday, December 22 at 2 p.m. at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.  Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
Friends called Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Neal-McClure Funeral Home in Du Quoin and Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
